Zaven is a software company from Wrocław, Poland. We build high-quality custom software for essential industries. Our focus is on practical results and trusting our people, not on strict rules or long processes. If you want to work with smart teams to build important software, and you want to avoid big company bureaucracy, this is the place for you.

Project Overview:

Join a high-stakes integration project as we modernize a global enterprise's middleware landscape. We are currently in the process of migrating a massive integration platform from Microsoft BizTalk Server to Azure Integration Services (AIS).

We have successfully migrated numerous components over the last few years, and we are now launching a dedicated "Migration Factory" sub-project to rebuild a specific package of 28 critical interfaces. This is a greenfield-style team within an established framework, where you will have full architectural support but high autonomy in delivery.

The Scope of Work:

  • Factory Delivery Model: Rebuild 28 inbound/outbound interfaces (JDE/NAV/ERP) from legacy BizTalk orchestrations to Logic Apps (Consumption).

  • Architecture Modernization: Transition from BizTalk BRE to Azure Rule Engine and move from heavy canonical models to streamlined Logic App run states.

  • High-Volume Logic: Handle interfaces that manage over 1,000 configurations across various ERP instances.

  • Transformation & Mapping: Implement complex logic using XSLT executed via Azure Functions.

  • Automated Lifecycle: Full ownership of IaC (Bicep) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps) using existing enterprise templates.

Technical Requirements

Core Requirements (Must-have):

  • Advanced Azure Integration Services (AIS): Extensive commercial experience with Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and API Management.

  • Senior-level Programming: Advanced knowledge of C# and the latest .NET ecosystem.

  • Enterprise Integration Patterns (EAI): Proven experience in designing and implementing complex integration patterns (routing, transformation, aggregation).

  • Mapping Expertise: Strong proficiency in creating, testing, and versioning XSLT transformations.

  • DevOps/IaC: Hands-on experience with Bicep and managing release pipelines in Azure DevOps.

  • Security: Practical knowledge of Azure Key Vault and OAuth2 (Client Credentials) authentication.

Nice to have (The "Migrator" Profile):

  • MS BizTalk Server Legacy: Experience with versions 2013/2016/2020—specifically understanding Schemas, Mappings, Orchestrations, and the Business Rules Engine (BRE).

  • GS1 Standards: Familiarity with GS1 XML message formats.

If you want to work with smart teams to build important software, and you want to avoid big company bureaucracy, this is the place for you. We are looking for an experienced Azure Integration Developer and a true Azure Logic Apps enthusiast - to join a large migration project for our international client. The goal is to rebuild ~30 complex integration interfaces (message exchange between ERP systems like JDE, NAV, and external systems) into a modern, 100% cloud-native environment based on Azure Integration Services (AIS) using a Factory Delivery model. Your task will be to build the integration logic from scratch in the Microsoft Cloud. You don't need to know the legacy system we are migrating from – what matters most is how well you can build reliable, scalable integration processes in Azure. What you will be doing: Building new integration flows primarily based on Azure Logic Apps . Creating and deploying data transformations (often based on XSLT/XML/SOAP) using Azure Functions . Handling asynchronous communication and message routing using Azure Service Bus . Developing solutions according to the prepared target architecture (specific Inbound / Outbound patterns). Integrating with other cloud services: API Management, Azure Key Vault, Azure App Configuration. Following development standards – including Infrastructure as Code ( Bicep ) and CI/CD processes ( Azure DevOps ). Required Skills & Experience: Azure Logic Apps – this is a hard requirement. You must have commercial experience in building, maintaining, and monitoring Logic Apps. .NET / C# – fluent coding skills, especially in the context of Azure Functions. Azure Functions – ability to create functions from scratch, strong understanding of triggers and bindings. Azure Service Bus – solid understanding of queues, topics, subscriptions, and asynchronous messaging patterns. Interviewing internal subject-matter experts to translate domain knowledge into working software. Strong backend engineering on the JVM – Kotlin, Java, or Scala in production. Kotlin experience preferred; if you have strong Java/Scala and have shipped Kotlin on a side project, that works. Solid TypeScript on the frontend – React, Angular, or similar, enough to own UI slices without needing a dedicated frontend pair. Solid cloud infrastructure fundamentals – you've reasoned about networking, IAM, compute, and managed services for real systems and can defend the trade-offs. Architecture chops – you've designed non-trivial systems, can defend trade-offs, and are comfortable disagreeing when you think someone's wrong. English fluency – you'll be talking to business users and engineers daily. Strongly preferred AI-native fluency – you actively use Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent agents in your daily workflow. You can talk specifically about what you delegate, what you don't, and why. AWS in production – not just "deployed something once". Deep familiarity with VPCs, IAM, RDS, Lambda/ECS trade-offs on real workloads. IaC experience – Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK. Background in regulated or transactional domains – fintech, payments, healthcare, insurance, ERP, billing systems. Anything where audit trails, eligibility rules, and money math matter. Comfort working in greenfield ambiguity – you've been the second or third engineer on a platform before and know how to make progress when half the decisions aren't made yet. Nice to have Direct retirement / pensions / 401(k) experience – the unicorn profile. If you have it, lead with it. DevOps depth – you've owned CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, and on-call rotations. Python data-stack background – likely to become relevant as analytics and reporting work comes online. What we're not asking for A specific number of years on Kotlin, AWS, or any one tool. We care about depth of judgment, not box-ticking. Front-end specialisation. You don't need to debate React Server Components – you need to ship working UI. Big-bank or HFT pedigree. This is retirement plan administration, not trading.
