Project

---

The project involves an intranet system in which the client has decided to switch the CMS. One of the key requirements is to replicate the existing processes from the legacy system as closely as possible (1:1), which requires a very strong understanding of Orchard’s architecture and internal mechanisms.

 

The team already has general knowledge and has resolved some of the challenges, but additional support is needed from someone who knows Orchard “inside out” and can effectively design and implement the missing components.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Designing and developing backend solutions based on Orchard CMS (Orchard Core)
• Creating and developing custom modules
• Defining and extending content types
• Replicating existing business processes from the previous CMS
• Working with the pipeline and application flow in Orchard
• Using drivers (display/edit drivers) to extend functionality
• Integrating with databases, data modeling, and creating indexes
• Collaborating with frontend teams and business stakeholders
• Analyzing existing solutions and proposing improvements

Expected competences and knowledge

• Very good knowledge of .NET / ASP.NET Core
• Hands-on experience with Orchard CMS (preferably Orchard Core)
• Experience in developing custom modules and extensions in Orchard
• Knowledge of content types, content parts, and content fields
• Understanding of Orchard architecture and its pipeline
• Experience working with display/edit drivers
• Ability to work with databases (e.g., SQL Server) and create indexes
• Experience in migrating or replicating existing systems
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with legacy solutions
