Test Automation Engineer (UFT One)

For one of our clients, we are looking for UFT One Test Automation Engineer with a strong focus on test automation and API testing.

📍 Location / Working mode: Warsaw – once per 2 weeks.

Your responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests using UFT One (Unified Functional Testing)

  • Designing and executing API tests (REST / SOAP) using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, UFT API Testing, Gatling

  • Close collaboration with developers and analysts to ensure high software quality

  • Analyzing test results, reporting defects, and supporting the defect resolution process

  • Participating in test planning, estimations, and continuous improvement of QA processes

Requirements

Technical

  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience in test automation

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with UFT One

  • Ability to write automation scripts in VBScript (UFT)

  • Knowledge of XML / JSON

  • Experience in API testing (REST / SOAP), including authorization, headers, request/response bodies, and status codes

  • Experience with test and defect management tools (e.g. JIRA)

  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Git)

Soft skills

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills when working with development and QA teams

  • Proactive attitude toward problem-solving and improving testing processes

  • Good work organization and ability to work independently

Nice to have

  • ISTQB certification (Foundation level or higher)

  • Knowledge of other testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Gatling)

  • Experience in performance testing
