THE WORK
As a Senior Android Automotive Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize in‑vehicle infotainment (IVI) features built on Android Automotive OS (AAOS). You will collaborate with architects, system engineers, hardware teams, and UX specialists to deliver scalable, production‑ready solutions for connected vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and customizing AAOS features and system services across domains such as Wireless/BT, DGI, Camera, or Display.
Integrating solutions across system layers in cooperation with hardware, architecture, and UX teams.
Debugging and profiling issues at Framework, HAL, and service layers using tools (Logcat, Systrace, Perfetto, DLT Viewer).
Contributing to custom Android system services, IVI features, and platform enhancements.
Ensuring performance, stability, maintainability, and security of delivered components.
Staying up to date with AOSP/AAOS evolution and supporting platform migrations and upgrades.
Participating in Agile ceremonies, estimations, and technical discussions.

The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office – depending on specific project circumstances. Qualifications
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
6+ years of Android development experience, including 3+ years with Android Automotive OS.
Strong Android Platform expertise with Kotlin, Java, and C/C++.
Deep understanding of Android internals: Framework, System Services, HAL, Binder, AIDL/HIDL.
Experience in at least one Automotive domain (Wireless/BT, DGI, Camera, Display, or related areas).
Hands‑on experience with Vehicle HAL, IVI features, custom system services.
Strong debugging and performance‑profiling skills (Logcat, Systrace, Perfetto, DLT Viewer).
Knowledge of SOME/IP, MOST, CAN, LIN, and automotive boot flows.
Working knowledge of SELinux, Android security contexts.
Experience with Soong, Bazel, Gradle, Git, Gerrit.
Strong communication skills and Agile project experience (Scrum, SAFe).
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience with CTS/CDD for Android Automotive.
Knowledge of power management on automotive Android platforms.
Familiarity with Car UI Library, GAS integration, AOSP contributions.
Exposure to Functional Safety (ISO 26262) or cybersecurity standards (UN R155/R156).
Experience with OTA updates, Android platform migrations, CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with ASPICE, QNX, AGL, or proprietary IVI systems.
Working knowledge of Rust for systems or embedded development.
