Software Engineer – Java (RegTech / FinTech)

Job Description

You will join an international engineering team delivering high-performance solutions for clients in the RegTech / FinTech sector. The role focuses on building scalable systems for processing large volumes of financial and regulatory data, including work with formal data specifications such as XBRL. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with both internal teams and client-side engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of commercial experience in Java development

  • Experience designing and building applications across different architectures

  • Strong knowledge of Java frameworks, libraries, and development tools

  • Experience processing large datasets

  • Practical experience with Git

  • Knowledge of XML, XSD, and regular expressions

  • Good working proficiency in English (daily communication, documentation, client interaction)

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence (or similar tools)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Gradle

  • Experience porting solutions from Java to .NET

  • Familiarity with XBRL technologies

  • Experience with scripting languages

  • Experience building web applications and microservices

  • Experience working with databases

  • Interest in algorithms and performance optimization
