Job Description
Summary
As an Engineering Manager (Localization Team), you will lead the development of connected services for the Core platform in emerging Pismo markets. This role requires a strong focus on security, scalability, observability, and reliability, as your team will be responsible for mission-critical components.
You will combine technical leadership, architectural vision, and people management to guide your team, solve complex engineering challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment
Recruit and onboard technical talent aligned with team and company goals
Define and drive the technical vision and system architecture
Ensure system stability, scalability, and data integrity
Manage multiple development initiatives (planning, prioritization, execution) in Agile
Implement and enforce best practices (code reviews, CI/CD, coding standards)
Oversee product quality through testing and quality assurance processes
Maintain high security standards and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders
Communicate plans, risks, and progress clearly
Lead incident response and production support
Build observability (metrics, tracing, logs) to meet SLOs and SLAs

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
8+ years of experience (Bachelor’s) / 5+ years (Master’s) / 2+ years (PhD)
or 11+ years of experience without a degree
Preferred Qualifications
9+ years of experience (Bachelor’s) or 7+ years (Advanced Degree)
Minimum 3 years managing engineering teams
7+ years in software development (Java)
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
Location: within commuting distance of Warsaw
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
Experience in performance testing and monitoring
