QA & Platform Ops Specialist

Mid • Remote

10,000 - 13,000 PLN

Warsaw, Poland

At EPC Network, we’re not just a digital marketing company; we’re a platform for career transformation and personal growth. Our people-first approach shapes our corporate culture, fostering a team of passionate, smart, and energetic individuals who strive to grow professionally in an international, fast-paced environment.
We operate an automation-first newsletter publishing operation across a large portfolio of media brands. While most workflows are automated, quality, platform stability, and account hygiene still require disciplined human QA — especially at scale.

We’re now looking for a QA & Platform Ops Specialist to help ensure every send is clean, compliant, and safe.

🎯 Job Description

As a QA & Platform Ops Specialist (Newsletters), you’ll be responsible for operational QA, not simple proofreading.
Your mission is to detect defects early, assess severity correctly, and escalate issues with clear evidence — before they cause complaints, churn, revenue loss, or platform risk.
You’ll work inside an automation-first pipeline where many checks are pre-validated by systems. Your role is to review flagged cases, catch critical misses, and protect account health across multiple publishing platforms.

This role requires speed, precision, security discipline, and strong operational judgment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Pre-send Newsletter QA (Core)

  • Review scheduled newsletters and catch issues that can cause complaints, churn, or revenue loss

  • Validate layout and formatting (desktop & mobile)

  • Detect broken links, wrong URLs, missing tracking parameters (when applicable)

  • Identify missing or broken images

  • Catch duplicated blocks, generation artifacts, or corrupted sections

  • Spot obvious AI failure patterns (nonsense lines, stray HTML, malformed content)

  • Ensure scannability and readability, especially on mobile

  • Perform basic compliance sanity checks according to internal standards

Cross-client Rendering Checks (When Required)

  • Validate rendering across common environments:

    • Gmail (web & mobile)

    • Apple Mail (macOS & iOS)

    • Outlook (desktop & mobile)

  • Check both Light and Dark modes for high-risk templates or new publications

  • Use internal tools and/or email preview/testing services when provided

Account Health QA (Beehiiv & Other Platforms)

  • Perform routine checks to ensure publishing accounts remain stable:

    • Billing status and payment method connectivity

    • Publication settings affecting sending (from name, reply-to, domains)

    • Warning banners, restriction notices, or compliance flags

    • Basic deliverability signals (when visible)

  • Confirm critical configurations remain unchanged after updates

  • Log issues, capture evidence, and escalate — never fix silently

Environment Integrity & Session Isolation (Critical)

  • Execute all QA work inside strictly isolated browser environments

  • Use multi-profile tools (e.g. MultiLogin, GoLogin, Octo Browser) correctly and consistently

  • Verify correct IP / proxy settings before accessing any publication backend

  • Enforce Clean Room protocols to ensure zero cross-contamination between brands

Defect Reporting & Escalation

  • Classify issues using a simple severity model (P0 / P1 / P2)

  • Provide clear evidence: what happened, where, and how to reproduce

  • Escalate quickly to the correct owner (Ops, Support, Automation, Engineering)

  • Track resolution and confirm fixes

QA Process & Automation Improvement

  • Suggest new automated checks to reduce manual workload

  • Help refine QA checklists, acceptance criteria, and playbooks

  • Contribute to weekly QA learnings to reduce defect trends over time

🛠 Tools You’ll Work With

  • Publishing platforms: Beehiiv (and potentially Substack, Ghost)

  • Multi-profile / session isolation browsers (MultiLogin, GoLogin, Octo Browser, or similar)

  • Email preview/testing tools (Email on Acid, Mailtrap, or similar — when provided)

  • Internal automation outputs (n8n flags, logs, alerts)

  • Spreadsheets / docs for QA logs and escalation tracking

  • Issue tracking tools (Monday / Jira / Trello)

  • Password manager and 2FA systems (security-first)

📌 Requirements

  • 3–4+ years of experience in QA / Release QA / Content QA / Web QA / Email QA / Operations QA

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review many items per day without missing critical issues

  • Comfortable testing across devices (iOS/macOS and Android/Windows)

  • Ability to spot layout, HTML, and content issues (HTML literacy is a plus)

  • Strong security mindset: understands why strict account isolation is mandatory

  • Experience managing multiple isolated sessions or profiles simultaneously

  • Strong written communication: clear bug reports with steps and severity

  • Ownership mindset: escalate fast, close loops, and follow through

📌 Nice to Have

  • Experience with newsletter or email platforms (Beehiiv, Substack, Ghost, ESPs)

  • Familiarity with email rendering pitfalls (Outlook quirks, dark mode issues, mobile constraints)

  • Experience with affiliate or referral workflows

  • Hands-on experience with tools like MultiLogin, Octo Browser, or GoLogin

  • Experience working with automation-first QA gates and flagged-review workflows

  • English level: C1

🎯 Success in the Role (First 30–90 Days)

  • P0/P1 defects are caught before send with minimal false positives

  • Clear QA logs and fast escalation prevent platform or revenue incidents

  • Zero isolation breaches — 100% adherence to security protocols

  • Account issues (billing, restrictions, settings drift) are detected early

  • QA feedback improves automation coverage over time

The position owns release testing, test documentation, bug triage, and the transition to Playwright and TypeScript automation, with compensation of €51,000–90,000. 🗂️ Requirements: 2+ years of QA engineering experience, Web UI testing experience, 1+ years of Playwright or comparable test automation framework experience, Manual testing experience, Manual test case authoring, Test design and documentation skills, SDLC knowledge, Developer and Product Manager collaboration, Upper-intermediate English (B2+), Availability for CET overlap meetings 📃 Skills: Playwright, TypeScript, TestRail, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, Automation, Regression, Manual, SDLC 🏢 Description: Location: 100% remote, having significant crossover with the CET timezone (you should expect meetings between 16:00 and 18:00 CET) Classification : Full-time; 40 hours per week Pay Range : €51,000-90,000 Experience : 2+ years as a QA engineer How you’ll make an impact (position summary) Miaplaza is dedicated to making education engaging and accessible through innovative online learning platforms. We develop personalized learning experiences for students, helping them grow in a supportive and interactive environment. Our vision is to elevate online learning by applying the most successful approaches in virtual education to create an accessible and inclusive education curriculum platform where all students can be successful! The Role We're looking for a QA Engineer to join our current QA team. You'll take ownership of how we test, validate, and sign off on quality across our platform. We're actively investing in our QA practice: expanding automated test coverage, improving our release testing process, and moving toward a model where quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle. You'll report to a technical Engineering Manager and work alongside engineers who value clear test documentation, reliable automation, and confident code releases. As a mature company, we have legacy systems and established manual testing workflows, but we are transitioning to modern automated testing practices using Playwright and TypeScript. The split between manual and automated work varies, but you should be comfortable working across both, bringing automation where it adds the most value while pragmatically maintaining manual coverage where it's still the right tool. A core goal of our QA evolution is to make testing faster, more reliable, and less dependent on last-minute changes before each release: replacing fragile manual regression cycles with stable automated suites, reducing flakiness, and building coverage that the whole team can rely on. Every testing investment is measured by whether it improves quality and reduces the team's burden at release time. What We're Looking For What you'll do: Write and maintain automated regression tests; review automation MRs from peers Execute manual testing across web UIs (functional, regression, cross-platform, responsive layouts on mobile/tablet) Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and test documentation in TestRail File clear, actionable bug reports with reproduction steps; collaborate with developers to triage and resolve Own the release testing process to ensure only high-quality changes ship Partner with PMs and designers on requirements review, edge cases, and acceptance criteria Contribute to QA process improvements as we scale (currently a 2-person team growing to 4) Requirements (Requisite Skills): 2+ years of QA engineering experience, including web UI testing 1+ years of experience with Playwright or a similar test automation framework (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer) Strong test design skills: comfortable writing and maintaining test cases, checklists, and test documentation Familiarity with QA's role in the SDLC and how to collaborate with developers and PMs Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong experience in manual testing and writing manual test cases Upper-intermediate English (B2+) for written and spoken communication Nice to have: experience with accessibility or security testing How you’ll work with other teams: Stakeholders & How you’ll collaborate with them Developers Notify developers of issues found during the testing phase, providing clear reproduction steps and screenshots. Collaborate to determine whether each issue is a true bug, expected behavior, or an environmental problem. Developers support QA by providing hotfixes and a dedicated testing branch with a restored database. Product Managers Provide clear evidence and detailed descriptions of issues so the Product Manager can assess their severity and user impact to determine whether they are release blockers. Discuss edge cases and user flows not covered in the ticket description or acceptance criteria, and document the expected behavior. Highlight risks in delivery ( too many critical issues found during the testing phase, potential ticket revert). Engineering Manager Your direct manager. Conduct regular 1:1s with you, provide development and tooling support, collaborate on problem-solving, monitor QA team progress, and review your work output. Career Growth We have a defined career ladder. Whether your path leads toward Senior/Staff QA Engineer or Engineering Management, there's room to grow - and we'll work with you to get there. Onboarding Every team member gets full support throughout onboarding, and no one expects you to figure out the ins and outs on your own. We'll pair with you, answer every question, and make sure you have the context you need. New hires typically feel very supported at Miaplaza. What success looks like here: In the first couple of months, you're asking a lot of clarifying questions, reading documentation, exploring the product independently, and writing and running tests with confidence. By months 3-4, you're taking ownership of a specific area, building out test coverage, identifying gaps, and driving quality improvements. By months 5-6, you're contributing meaningfully to the testing strategy for migration and modernization work and operating independently. The common thread: curiosity, initiative, and the habit of investigating before you ask, but always asking when you need to. Interview Process Our process is staged and designed to respect your time. Expect a mix of introductory conversation, technical discussion, and practical evaluation. We want to understand how you think about real problems and testing practices. As part of the process, we will ask for professional references and conduct a background check. If you need any accommodations during the interview process, let us know, we're happy to help. Compensation Miaplaza’s compensation philosophy ensures equity and competitiveness while considering regional differences in labor costs. Placement within a range is determined based on factors such as demonstrated skills, internal equity, and local labor market rates for the candidate’s geographic area. Ready to apply?
