As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will drive the delivery of key projects through high-quality analysis, Agile design, and deep technical insight. You will work in a modern DevOps environment, ensuring our solutions are scalable, secure, and highly efficient.
What You’ll Do:
Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
Backend Development: Lead the design and development of robust backend services and microservices using Java 8/11/17.
Automation Strategy: Drive the team’s approach to automated testing, promoting best practices and implementing frameworks to optimize delivery and reduce costs.
Architectural Evolution: Reduce system complexity by migrating to modern integration patterns, including APIs, Kafka, and microservices.
Process Optimization: Oversee the enhancement of Straight-Through-Processing (STP) capabilities to ensure seamless financial operations.
What You Need to Succeed (Must-have):
Experience: At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership or Lead Developer role.
Java Mastery: Strong proficiency in Java 8+ (Java 17+ is highly preferred).
Architecture: Deep understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and industry best practices.
Test Automation: Advanced, hands-on experience in software testing, specifically in designing and implementing automation frameworks.
Tech Stack: Solid knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot and a working understanding of RESTful microservices and APIs.
Data: Experience with database technologies and SQL (Oracle preferred).
Nice-to-have:
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Previous experience working within or closely with a QA team.
