Description

You will participate in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs, contributing to systems analysis and programming. The role centers on building next-generation AI-enabled applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP). You will also design and maintain RESTful APIs, optimize SQL Server databases, and support integration and post-implementation security and operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy applications powered by LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, and basic agentic workflows

• Implement MCP to securely connect AI models with local/remote data sources and tools

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, views, and schemas in Microsoft SQL Server

• Use AI-assisted/autonomous coding tools to accelerate development and testing

• Perform integration and L3 support for vendor applications in Tax Reporting, Tax Diligence, and Tax Withholding (primarily via API communication)

• Conduct feasibility studies, time/cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, model development, and implementation planning

• Monitor all development phases (analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation) and provide user/operational support to business users

• Analyze complex problems/issues and apply evaluative judgment based on business and industry standards

• Recommend security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage

• Consult with users/clients and technology groups; recommend advanced programming solutions and assist with customer exposure systems

• Define and follow operating standards and procedures; serve as advisor/coach to junior analysts

• Operate with limited supervision, exercising independence of judgment and autonomy

• Drive compliance with applicable laws and policies by escalating, managing, and reporting control issues transparently

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Hands-on experience integrating enterprise LLMs via APIs using LangChain or LlamaIndex

• Understanding of or direct experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect AI models to context providers/data/tools

• 2-5 years of backend API architecture experience, including data validation and security protocols

• Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server, relational database design, and query performance tuning

• Experience performing application integrations

• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications

• Experience managing and implementing successful projects

• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods

• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements
