Description

You’ll join a freelance team for a short-term, high-impact data engineering engagement focused on production work in Snowflake and supporting AI-related data pipelines. The role emphasizes strong SQL and data warehouse modeling, transformations with dbt (or similar), Python-based profiling/scripting, and end-to-end data quality validation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production data pipelines in Snowflake

• Apply data warehouse modeling best practices (e.g., star schema, SCD, defining data grain/dimensions)

• Develop and manage transformations using dbt or similar tooling

• Use Python for data profiling and scripting to support pipeline development and validation

• Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting across the full data flow

• Collaborate using Git and CI/CD practices for reliable data pipeline delivery

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience in production

• Strong SQL and data warehouse modeling skills (star schema, SCD, data grain, dimensions)

• Experience with dbt (or similar data transformation tools)

• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and troubleshooting across the full data flow

• Python for data profiling and scripting

• Experience with Git and CI/CD for data pipelines

• Ability to work independently in a partially documented, inherited environment and solve data issues

• Fluent English (C1) and strong communication skills
