Description

Join an agile team modernizing banking technology, building greenfield and existing applications using cloud-native Azure services. You will deliver secure, reliable, compliant solutions while adopting emerging technologies and making sustainable engineering decisions. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development (e.g., GitHub Copilot/agents) with quality, security, and human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud-native Azure solutions for greenfield projects and existing applications
• Adopt emerging technologies, reuse strategic platforms and standards, and make sustainable technical decisions
• Deliver secure, reliable and compliant solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Use GitHub Copilot, agents and reusable skills across delivery, with strong quality, security and human oversight
• Introduce emerging practices and help build capability across the product family
• Share expertise, support hiring and contribute to the engineering culture and communities

Requirements

• Passion for solving complex problems and delivering maintainable, production-quality software
• 5+ years of experience in Python and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD (ideally with GitLab pipelines)
• Knowledge of Azure Functions or similar serverless, event-driven platforms (triggers, bindings and scaling)
• Knowledge of Azure Service Bus or similar messaging technology (queues, topics, publish/subscribe and error handling)
• Skills in data-flow engineering across ingestion, transformation and orchestration
• Expertise in AI-assisted development (ideally with GitHub Copilot, agents and effective prompting)
• Experience with full-text search engines, including designing indexes and implementing data indexing and search using Azure AI Search
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or similar tools
• Experience in web UI development with React
