• Role: Java and React Full Stack Developer (Mid and Senior)

Description

You will design, build, and test features end-to-end with full ownership of code and quality, working across backend and frontend. The role focuses on Java backend development and modern UI development with React, including API integration and relational database work. You’ll also collaborate on automated test coverage using unit/integration tests and Cucumber-based end-to-end tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features using Java and React

• Build responsive, modern frontend applications with ReactJS

• Develop and integrate APIs and web services

• Work with relational databases (Oracle, Postgres)

• Write clean, well-structured unit tests (JUnit or equivalent)

• Contribute to an automated test framework using Ruby and Cucumber

  • Write Ruby step definitions as needed

  • Create and maintain Cucumber feature files for end-to-end testing

• Write automated tests for features built by other engineers

• Champion a test-first approach for reliable, maintainable, scalable code

• Apply performance/scalability considerations (e.g., JMeter) when required

• Embed instrumentation, configuration, and logging for monitoring and support

• Analyze and debug issues using logs; propose and implement fixes

• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies to plan and deliver sprint goals

• Partner with product managers and analysts to understand functional and non-functional needs

• Work with a product mindset for long-term supportability and client impact

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java with strong unit testing experience (JUnit or equivalent)

• Proficiency in React and relevant unit testing frameworks

• Experience with automated test frameworks and languages

  • Ruby scripting for step definitions (nice to have)

  • Cucumber for end-to-end testing

• Strong understanding of multi-threading, parallel processing, and real-time messaging

• Test-first design and CI/CD practices

• Ability to use JMeter or similar tools for performance testing (plus)

• Practical understanding of cloud services (databases, servers, storage, gateways)

• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) while maintaining code quality and critical thinking
