Description

Design end-to-end solution architectures for healthcare clients, bridging the clinical and commercial sides of care. Translate business and clinical needs into capability maps, current/target-state designs, options with trade-offs, and roadmaps that leadership can act on. Own solution design across the stack—applications, integrations, data ownership, identity/access, and non-functional requirements—while ensuring regulation-ready architecture for healthcare data and clinical safety.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures for patient-facing channels (web, mobile, contact center), scheduling, medical records and clinical workflow, diagnostics, telemedicine, subscriptions/insurance products, claims and billing, CRM/customer service, and analytics

• Convert clinical and business requirements into architecture views and delivery roadmaps

• Own solution design across the application landscape and integration patterns (APIs, events, file-based exchange, integration engines)

• Define data model/data ownership, identity and access, and non-functional requirements (availability, performance, data residency)

• Design for healthcare regulation and clinical safety (GDPR health data, consent and audit trails, accessibility, MDR considerations)

• Deliver deployment architecture on Azure (or AWS/GCP) with regulated-industry controls

• Perform build-vs-buy and vendor evaluations using pre-defined criteria and evidence

• Produce review-ready architecture deliverables (C4 and ArchiMate views, decision records, NFRs, capacity and cost models)

• Use AI tooling for research and documentation while verifying outputs before client-facing use

• Present and defend decisions with CIO/CMIO/business owners and guide engineering teams through delivery

• Contribute to reusable healthcare assets, reference architectures, proposals, and pre-sales

Requirements

• 5+ years (mid) or 8+ years (senior) in solution architecture or senior engineering with end-to-end production design responsibility

• 2+ years in healthcare on provider or payer side, with practical understanding of both clinical and commercial processes

• Strong architecture toolkit: integration patterns, data modeling/data ownership, and identity/access (OAuth2/OIDC)

• Cloud architecture at solution level on Azure (or other hyperscalers): compute, networking, identity, data services, data residency, cost

• Experience designing for GDPR health data, consent, audit, and familiarity with Polish medical records law and EHDS direction

• Structured vendor/option evaluation: define criteria first, verify with primary sources, and show scoring

• Strong communication: architecture documents and decision records, executive summaries, ability to defend under review

• Fluency in Polish and English
