Description

You will design and implement application security architectures and controls for enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native systems. You will define security capabilities (authentication/authorization, API security, encryption, secrets management, secure configuration), run architecture reviews (threat modeling and security risk analysis), and support secure-by-design/SSDLC and DevSecOps integration. You will also use AI-assisted tools to improve security activities such as threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, secure code review support, and automation—while ensuring validation, data protection, and human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design security architectures and controls for new implementations, migrations, and security improvements
• Improve capabilities for authentication, authorization, API security, encryption, secrets management, and secure configuration
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, secure design assessments, and application security risk analysis
• Create security reference architectures, security standards, secure design patterns, and secure development guidelines
• Support Secure SDLC, secure-by-design principles, and DevSecOps integration
• Evaluate and improve security technologies/processes (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, vulnerability management)
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, IAM, security operations, and compliance teams
• Integrate security automation and application security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
• Use AI-assisted tools/workflows for threat modeling, security architecture analysis, vulnerability assessment, remediation recommendations, secure code review support, documentation, and repetitive task automation
• Identify opportunities for AI-assisted application security automation while ensuring validation, data protection, and human oversight
• Communicate application security risks, architectural decisions, and remediation plans to stakeholders and security leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of information security experience focused on application security architecture, secure application design, or application security engineering
• Hands-on expertise in application security (identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, recommend technical security controls)
• Practical experience with application security architecture reviews, threat modeling, secure design assessments, or security risk analysis
• Experience with application security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning (or similar)
• Working knowledge of Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD security, and secure-by-design principles
• Experience with at least one programming language for code review and risk assessment (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go)
• Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM, network security, data protection, and security operations; familiarity with Zero Trust, NIST, ISO 27001, and OWASP guidelines
• Familiarity with security automation/scripting and intermediate AI-assisted experience for security workflows (vulnerability analysis, threat modeling/research, structured prompting, script generation/validation, documentation)
• Understanding of safe AI usage: data protection, access control, and validation of AI-generated outputs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Hands-on technical proficiency
