Description

Join a long-term project modernizing a mature, multi-tenant healthcare SaaS platform used by US healthcare facilities. You’ll develop and maintain backend services and the Angular front end, design REST APIs and integrations, and optimize database queries, application performance, and background processing. You’ll collaborate directly with US-based product and engineering stakeholders and help drive technical decisions during a transition of development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve a complex multi-tenant SaaS platform with Python, Django, and Angular

• Work on both backend services and frontend application components

• Contribute to architecture and technical decisions; improve existing code while delivering new features

• Analyze requirements, provide estimates, and support release planning

• Design and develop REST APIs and integrations with external systems

• Optimize PostgreSQL queries, application performance, and background processing

• Ensure code quality via automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and documentation

• Coordinate with mobile developers on backend changes and API integrations

• Identify technical risks and propose improvements

• Participate in knowledge transfer and help establish development practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial software development experience

• Strong commercial experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF)

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and RxJS

• Experience with large, production-grade applications

• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge (query optimization, indexing, migrations)

• Experience designing and developing REST APIs

• Experience with Redis (or similar caching technologies)

• Experience with Celery (or other background task processing solutions)

• Automated testing experience using pytest (or similar frameworks)

• Practical experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to work with complex legacy codebases (refactoring and modernization)

• Strong understanding of software architecture, maintainability, and performance optimization

• Ability to independently analyze requirements, propose solutions, and deliver features

• Excellent communication skills; English C1+; comfortable working with international clients

• Availability for afternoon meetings (CET/CEST) with the US team
