Description

You will design, build, and evolve mobile experiences across prominent consumer surfaces. The role focuses on scalable architecture, building reusable mobile foundations and tooling, improving scalability/performance/reliability, and mentoring engineers across product and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve consumer-facing mobile experiences

• Contribute to mobile architecture and development of reusable foundations, frameworks, and platform capabilities

• Lead technical initiatives improving scalability, performance, reliability, and developer experience

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and platform teams on technical strategy and product direction

• Drive engineering quality via code reviews, testing practices, observability, and operational excellence

• Mentor engineers and support a collaborative, inclusive, growth-oriented culture

• Help teams move faster through improved tooling, workflows, documentation, and shared standards

• Participate in experimentation and prototyping for future-facing content and listening experiences

• Explore modern engineering workflows, including AI-assisted development tools and emerging mobile technologies

• Balance short-term product needs with long-term platform sustainability and technical health

Requirements

• Strong experience building mobile applications using Swift and/or Kotlin

• Experience with large-scale consumer-facing applications with high performance and reliability expectations

• Ability to design scalable, maintainable mobile systems and reusable platform components

• Strong focus on user experience, accessibility, performance, and engineering craftsmanship

• Experience collaborating across disciplines and influencing technical decisions in cross-functional environments

• Clear communication of technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Enjoys mentoring and supporting engineers through collaboration, feedback, and knowledge sharing

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making thoughtful technical trade-offs

• Curious about emerging technologies and evolving development practices, including AI-assisted engineering workflows

• Growth mindset and continuous improvement of systems, products, and team practices
