Description

You’ll develop and automate a telco platform for network inventory and cross-connect connection automation, including integrations with optical OCS switches. The work covers REST API development, building and operating a proxy service on Rocky Linux virtual machines, and securing systems with auditing and compliance checks. You’ll also deliver containerized deployments using CI/CD and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Develop network infrastructure management and cross-connect automation using TypeScript, Astro (SSR), Bun, Tailwind CSS, and PostgreSQL.

• Extend a TMF-639-based REST API and build integrations with external systems and optical OCS switches.

• Develop and maintain a proxy service that forwards cross-connect deployment commands from the platform to OCS switches.

• Secure Rocky Linux proxy virtual machines, including update management and security configuration.

• Configure and secure SSH access, SELinux, firewalld, and TLS.

• Set up auditing and logging, and verify compliance against CIS benchmarks and DISA STIG using OpenSCAP.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization using Docker/Podman and Kubernetes.

• Support integration and automation of connections in optical network infrastructure, including DWDM environments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript and Node.js or Bun.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL.

• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and integrating with external systems.

• Strong Linux administration and hardening experience on Rocky Linux or RHEL, including systemd, dnf, SELinux, firewalld, auditd, and OpenSCAP.

• Experience with Git.

• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Ansible.

• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and VLAN.

• Advanced English (C1) for daily communication.
