Description

You will design and build a modern, production-grade web application on Azure, working across Python backend services and a React frontend. You will lead technical design and architecture, implement secure OAuth 2.0/OIDC authentication (including the On-Behalf-Of flow), and help the client and team align on technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a full-stack production web application with Python backend services and a React frontend

• Lead the solution’s technical design and architecture on Azure

• Implement OAuth 2.0/OIDC authentication and authorization, including OBO flow for downstream API calls

• Guide the client through requirements, solution options, and technical decisions

• Lead and support delivery: set priorities and keep work aligned with client goals

• Drive engineering best practices: code quality, testing, security, documentation, and CI/CD

• Conduct code reviews and mentor other engineers

• Propose improvements and innovations to the product and its architecture

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a full-stack or software engineer

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development and API design

• Strong proficiency in React and modern frontend development (ideally TypeScript)

• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on Azure

• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0/OIDC, including OBO flow and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

• Leadership ability to guide the client and team and drive the project to goals

• Excellent communication skills with clients and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong ownership mindset and pragmatic approach to problem-solving

• Fluent English communication
