Description

You will build and maintain order management and settlement applications, owning features end-to-end from inception through production release and support. The role involves designing REST APIs and Avro protocols with schema evolution, improving code quality, and collaborating on platform architecture. You will work in a DevOps-oriented workflow using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Break larger product requirements into smaller deliverable stories and work independently

• Own end-to-end delivery of features and initiatives from inception to production release and support

• Collaborate with peers to shape future platform architecture

• Share knowledge and drive technical improvements and simplifications

• Present and document larger changes with the team

• Maintain and improve code quality over time

• Design REST APIs and Avro protocols with schema evolution

• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

• Proficiency with AI development tools/techniques such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot in M365

• Strong server-side Java development skills (5+ years)

• Experience building robust, scalable, highly available distributed systems in an enterprise environment

• Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and modeling business domains with stakeholders

• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, Spring, and Spring Boot

• Understanding of reactive programming, message ordering, and idempotency paradigms

• Experience designing event-driven and streaming architectures, including CQRS and read models

• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure

• Interest in DevOps skills as an end-user of existing solutions with modifications/adoption
