Description

Design, develop, and continuously deploy complex full-stack technical solutions. Drive architectural decisions for scalable systems and contribute hands-on development with cross-functional IT and R&D teams. Define and execute a technical vision for the R&D application landscape with a focus on business value.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and continuously deploy complex full stack solutions in a regulated Pharma R&D environment
• Drive scalable architecture decisions and contribute hands-on development
• Define and execute a technical vision for R&D applications focused on business value
• Identify technical risks and gaps; propose solution approaches and guide the team
• Introduce new technologies and improve engineering workflows
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and delivery speed
• Combine engineering expertise with scientific understanding (e.g., computational biology or computational chemistry)

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent natural science degree)
• 3–5+ years of professional experience with expert-level skills in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Kotlin, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Backend development and/or frontend frameworks such as React.js
• Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred), containerization, and serverless architecture
• Hands-on expertise in data engineering and/or data science
• Deep understanding of Agile, CI/CD, and automated testing
• Comfortable making technical decisions in ambiguous problem spaces
• Plus: experience with natural scientists and regulated environments (e.g., GxP)
