Description

Join an international applications team as a Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Analyst on a long-term freelance engagement. You will analyze business requirements, translate them into D365 Finance functional solutions, support and standardize the finance environment, and coordinate functional incident resolution and releases. The work emphasizes understanding how finance processes interact across modules and prioritizing standard D365 capabilities over unnecessary customizations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into practical functional solutions in D365 Finance
• Support and improve existing finance processes and configurations
• Investigate functional incidents, identify root causes, and coordinate solutions
• Understand dependencies between finance modules and business processes
• Challenge requirements and prioritize standard D365 functionalities over unnecessary customizations
• Collaborate with developers and other functional analysts on improvements and change requests
• Support system releases, testing, and ongoing application lifecycle management
• Proactively communicate with business stakeholders and ask clarifying questions
• Take ownership of issues and contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Dynamics 365 Finance, Finance ERP consulting, or functional analysis
• Broad functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
• General understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), VAT reporting and declarations, Electronic Reporting (ER), Fixed Assets, Posting Profiles, and General Ledger
• Ability to understand how finance processes interact and identify cross-functional dependencies
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to formulate relevant questions, investigate issues, and find appropriate solutions independently
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment
• Good communication skills in English
