Senior DevOps Engineer

🔎 We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with Java experience to join an international project in Cracow.

The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of overall professional experience and a strong background in DevOps, with the ability to understand and work with Java code when required.

The role involves working with both modern frameworks and legacy technologies, driving automation, deployment, and cloud operations in Azure. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Unix/Linux systems, Shell/Bash, and Python is also essential, along with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve issues in complex environments.

📍Location: Cracow, Poland
Work model: Hybrid — 3 days per week from the Krakow office
Contract: B2B

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable delivery to Azure.

• Automate the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications, including App Services, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Manage and optimize workloads in Unix/Linux environments, including Shell/Bash scripting.

• Develop automation tools and scripts in Python to support DevOps processes.

• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across production and development environments.

• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across environments.

• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities within the team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related role.

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including deployment and monitoring.

• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or similar.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling.

• Experience with Unix/Linux systems and Shell/Bash scripting.

• Good knowledge of Python for automation and tooling.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to debug distributed systems.

• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.

• Proficiency in Java (8/11/17).

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.

• Experience setting up monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.
