Description

Technical specialist supporting the implementation of encrypted satellite services for the EU space program in the Czech Republic. You will contribute to PRS (encrypted Galileo positioning/navigation/time service), GovSatCom and secure connectivity, and coordinate security/technical topics with EU and national stakeholders. The role includes representation in EU working groups, as well as outreach and project participation related to these services.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to implementing PRS in the Czech Republic (encrypted Galileo navigation service designed to resist unwanted interference and ensure continuous signal availability)

• Contribute to implementing GovSatCom and secure connectivity (satellite communications) in the Czech Republic, including ensuring operations, utilization of services, and related security administration

• Represent the office/the Czech Republic in working groups for GovSatCom, secure connectivity, and PRS, helping set operational rules at the EU level (with willingness to travel)

• Support awareness, education, and promotion activities for these services and their use in the Czech Republic

• Participate in European and national projects as a guarantor/solver

Requirements

• University degree in a technical field (electronics, GNSS, or similar areas preferred)

• Willingness to further education

• Interest in satellite services and information security (not required to be a domain expert)

• Communicative personality; ability to communicate in Czech and English (English C1 preferred)

• Independence, responsibility, strong organization and time management, team collaboration, good presentation skills, and professional/representative conduct

• Security clearance: must obtain an individual clearance at the “Secret” level (Tajné); not required at start, but required after hiring via the National Security Authority

Compensation & Hiring

• Salary class 13 under Czech labor code regulations: approx. 38,590–53,800 CZK monthly (including a special allowance), adjusted based on experience; after onboarding may increase via personal pay

• Hiring includes a security process for the candidate to the “Secret” classification under Act No. 412/2005 (TAJNÉ)

• Workplace: Prague 6 (Paťanka)

• Start date: December 2026 / January 2027
