Description

You will support flight and service operations by engineering and operating mission-critical IT infrastructure, secure communication networks, and ground-station-related systems. The work includes designing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving complex systems, with a focus on automation and identity management.

Responsibilities

• Operate modern IT systems, resolve incidents, and run identity management with manual and automated updates

• Analyze and fix operational system errors (L1 and L2 support), further develop the IT infrastructure, implement and monitor it

• Design and plan infrastructure and the tools required for operations, from planning through validation

• Independently install, configure, and bring infrastructure systems into service; document processes and prepare systems for operations

• Continuously improve and optimize the overall system and increase automation

• Monitor and automate asset and infrastructure management for hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance contracts

• Communicate with customers and subcontractors regarding service operations, reporting, and incident management

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a degree in information security, computer science, or comparable education

• Very good knowledge of IT system engineering (virtualization, Windows/Linux infrastructure, networking, and storage)

• Experience with conceptual development and support of complex IT systems

• Very good knowledge of automation (PowerShell scripting, Ansible, or Terraform)

• Fluent German and English
