Description

You will lead and support web development projects while developing, maintaining, and optimizing responsive web applications—especially webshops. The role includes implementing modern user interfaces with HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript, integrating and administering Shopify and Shopware stores, connecting MySQL databases, and ensuring usability, accessibility, and responsive design.

Responsibilities

• Lead web development projects
• Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications and responsive websites, especially webshops
• Implement modern user interfaces with HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript
• Connect, maintain, and analyze MySQL databases
• Provide technical support, further development, and administration of Shopify and Shopware shops
• Ensure usability, accessibility, and consistently responsive design
• Collaborate closely with design, marketing, and e-commerce teams
• Perform error analysis, debugging, and continuous optimization of existing systems
• Document technical processes and implementation steps

Requirements

• Completed training or degree in computer science, web development, or a comparable qualification (ideally several years of web development experience)
• Very good knowledge of HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with MySQL databases
• Practical experience administering Shopify, including Liquid, theme customization, and app integration
• Confident use of common analytics and testing tools
• Good German and English skills in spoken and written form
• Basic understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and web security
• High quality awareness for code, design, and user-friendliness
• Analytical thinking and strong technical understanding
