Description

You will design, develop, and operate infrastructure for an IPTV platform used by customers worldwide. The job combines infrastructure engineering, automation, and operational troubleshooting (including nights) with collaboration across teams. You’ll also work daily with AI agents to help generate and analyze infrastructure changes, while keeping access safe and requiring human approval.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain IPTV platform infrastructure: Debian servers, Nomad cluster, Ceph storage, HAProxy, DNS and SMTP, CDN, AWS, GCP

• Automate infrastructure using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code; deploy via GitLab CI

• Build deployment pipelines and development environments to support weekly releases

• Participate in rotating on-call (PagerDuty; alerts from Icinga and Prometheus); handle incidents and run postmortems

• Cover routine operations: client requests, installation upgrades, service windows, early-morning maintenance

• Write runbooks and incident context for AI agents so coverage works even when the engineer is new to the system

• Mentor junior administrators and contribute to architectural decisions

• Communicate with technical client and partner teams, often in English

Requirements

• Several years of production experience operating Linux servers (preferably Debian)

• Ansible experience including writing and refactoring roles; Git and CI/CD knowledge expected

• Container experience (Docker or Podman) and orchestration; Nomad experience plus Kubernetes familiarity

• Monitoring and alerting experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Icinga or Zabbix) and ability to understand which alerts require human action

• Deep networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, NAT, routing

• Knowledge of Bash and Python

• On-call and incident management experience under pressure; treat on-call as part of the role

• English for client communication and documentation

• Pragmatic crisis handling, clear communication, and staying effective during failures
