QA Automation Engineer

Description

Design, develop, and implement automated tests aligned with sprint specifications, while also executing manual and automated testing. Collaborate with development teams to identify, analyze, and report defects, and improve the automated testing framework and infrastructure. Bring performance testing knowledge and an interest in AI coding tools to continuously enhance test coverage and quality.

Responsibilities

• Pair with junior QA engineers to share testing techniques and support squad testing capabilities
• Design, develop, and implement automated tests for new features and components (mostly in TypeScript and Playwright)
• Execute manual and automated testing processes aligned with sprint specifications
• Identify, analyze, and report defects and work with developers for resolution
• Collaborate with the QA team to enhance and expand the automated testing framework and infrastructure
• Participate in agile squad planning and contribute to sprint goals and quality strategy
• Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases
• Research and implement new testing tools, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience building automated tests with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks
• Experience using testing automation and management tools such as BrowserStack, TestRail, Postman, or similar
• Performance testing knowledge and experience with performance testing tools and methodologies
• Proven ability to explore applications, identify defects, and report them clearly and concisely
• Strong understanding of SDLC and QA best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excitement for and experience with AI coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
