Description

Tesla Energy’s Service Engineering Intelligence & Analytics (SEIA) team converts fleet telemetry, service actions, customer reports, and escalations into detection pipelines, models, dashboards, and SI tools. You will lead the SEIA organization and own the platform that enables Service to sense, diagnose, and act on fleet health with the right capability at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Set multi-year vision and technical strategy for sensing, diagnosing, and acting on fleet health
• Lead, grow, and coach a 20+ person multidisciplinary organization across multiple sites
• Own the fleet-health data and intelligence platform end to end for real-time and batch detection and GenAI/Service Intelligence tooling
• Define and track KPIs tied to operational outcomes (SLAs, time-to-detect, diagnostic coverage, cost)
• Partner with engineering, field operations, support, and programs/parts to ensure detections flow into the right actions
• Set engineering bar for architecture, software development lifecycle, data quality and governance, reliability, and on-call
• Represent the SEIA strategy to leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., firmware, platform engineering, product management, DevOps, finance, design engineering)

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent
• 10+ years in data, ML, or software, including 5+ years leading engineering teams
• Proven experience building and scaling production data and ML platforms
• Strong fluency across streaming and batch pipelines, warehousing, ML systems with feedback loops, and GenAI/LLM applications
• Experience tying data/analytics to operational outcomes in a hardware/IoT/fleet/reliability context
• Ability to lead from mission/user perspective and guide multi-site teams through ambiguity
• Extreme ownership and ability to influence without authority while enforcing data integrity and measurable impact

Expected Compensation

$140,000–$312,000 annual base salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary based on location and experience.
