Description

In this 12-week research internship, you will collaborate with mentors, doctoral candidates, and researchers on work at the intersection of LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and graph machine learning. You’ll develop and test new ideas, present findings, and contribute to a research community. The internship is expected to be conducted at your manager’s Microsoft worksite location for its duration.

Role Description / Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop and test new ideas in the broad area of RAG, graph, and LLM
• Work with paired mentors and collaborate with other research interns and researchers
• Present findings and contribute to the research community

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Doctorate Degree program in machine learning, statistics, computer science, or a relevant field
• Physically located at the manager’s Microsoft worksite location for the internship
• Submit at least two reference letters, a cover letter, and relevant work or research samples

Benefits

• Base pay range: USD $6,810–$13,480 per month (different ranges apply for specific San Francisco Bay Area and NYC metro locations)
• Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation
