Description

Family Medicine Physician opportunity in Garner, Iowa with a high-volume outpatient practice and newborn-to-end-of-life patient care. Join a team of 3 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider with specialists available and extensive diagnostic services on site; no call is required. ER and/or inpatient coverage is available for extra pay, and OB is not required (shared care optional).

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope primary care from newborn through end of life
• Practice in a high-volume outpatient clinic
• Support ER and/or inpatient services when assigned (extra pay)
• Coordinate with specialists and utilize on-site imaging and diagnostics

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school
• Completion of an appropriate residency program
• Board certified within 3 years of eligibility (or board eligible)
• Ability to obtain Mercy Medical Center–North Iowa medical staff privileges
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work on a team
• Licensed or eligible for Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate
• Successful completion of references, background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen
