Description

Work as a Python backend engineer specializing in routing algorithms and geospatial data for delivery logistics. You will support the design and scaling of high-throughput services for first-mile and last-mile operations, and co-develop a next-generation Delivery Optimization Engine using network analysis and spatial optimization.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and scaling of high-throughput services powering first-mile and last-mile delivery logistics operations
• Co-develop the next-generation Delivery Optimization Engine (DOE) using network analysis and spatial optimization
• Develop and implement routing algorithms
• Improve the efficiency of logistics processes through direct engineering impact

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of commercial backend experience using Python and SQL
• Experience or strong knowledge of logistics domain, network analysis, and routing (graph theory, road network modeling, Vehicle Routing Problem – VRP)
• Experience with programmatically used geospatial data (e.g., H3, spatial indexing, clustering algorithms, PostGIS)
• Knowledge of cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred) and modern infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow)
• Ability to design and scale microservices-based architecture
• Promote best practices: Clean Code, TDD, CI/CD, and rigorous code review
• University degree in computer science or related technical field
• Good command of English and Polish
• Willingness to participate in workshops at the client’s office in Warsaw once per month
