Description

A facility in Virginia is looking for a locum tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to provide in-house coverage with 24-hour shifts. The assignment includes labor and delivery care (about 200 deliveries/month), OB ED evaluations (~10 patients/day), and inpatient call coverage with rounding. Ongoing coverage is available and the role is starting soon.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house 24-hour OB/GYN coverage
• Manage approximately 200 deliveries per month (C-section rate ~30%)
• See and treat patients in OB ED (~10 patients/day)
• Provide inpatient call coverage and round on assigned patients
• Maintain ongoing coverage during the assignment period

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Ability to work in-house 24-hour shifts
• Experience with inpatient OB/GYN call coverage and rounding
• Licensure/eligibility to practice in Virginia
