Description

Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot multimedia components within Android/Linux-based automotive infotainment systems. Work across Media Framework, Audio HAL, USB/iPod/BT media stacks, codec integration, and playback pipelines to ensure a seamless media experience across platforms.

Use system and embedded logs to analyze failures (playback, track switching, USB/BT disconnections, iPod integration issues) and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multimedia features across Android/Linux automotive platforms

• Integrate and enhance components such as Media Framework, Audio HAL, USB Manager, iPod Manager, and BT audio stack

• Implement feature enhancements and performance improvements for media playback

• Debug and resolve playback failures and media connectivity/integration issues

• Perform root cause analysis using logcat, dmesg, kernel logs, and other analyzer tools

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Android or Linux multimedia frameworks

• Good debugging skills on embedded platforms

• Good understanding of USB, iPod, and Bluetooth media flows

• Strong experience with C/C++ and advanced C++ (plus Java/Kotlin)

• Experience with AOSP, Git/Gerrit, and build systems
