Description

Join a team to design and build the Android client for a high-traffic communication app, improving and maintaining existing features while delivering new initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Android client, enhancing and supporting existing features

• Collaborate with developers to deliver new functionality, complete planned initiatives, and improve the overall application

• Understand requirements, technology needs, and solution architecture quickly to deliver high-quality solutions

• Partner with product managers and the design team to build solutions aligned with user experience and design guidelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Android application development

• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and/or Android development

• Strong understanding of Collections and Java concurrency/multithreading

• Experience with Coroutines and Flow

• Experience with Android Jetpack components: WorkManager, Paging, ViewBinding, LiveData

• Proficiency in Dagger 2, multi-module projects, and Gradle

• Thorough understanding of mobile application design principles and UX

• Experience with databases including SQL optimization and Room

• Proficiency in unit tests and Git version control

• Familiarity with GoF design patterns, architecture, and refactoring

• Experience with MVP/MVI/MVVM architecture-based development

• Intermediate spoken English

• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity or decision-making is a strong advantage
