Description

You will build and evolve AI data software engineering solutions: ingesting data from diverse sources, transforming it at scale, and ensuring integrity, validation, and security. The role includes developing scalable data ingestion pipelines (Spark/Databricks and cloud services), optimizing data retrieval, and supporting project business logic.

You’ll also participate in the next waves of AI adoption by implementing agentic development environments and collaborating across data science and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement data ingestion from diverse sources (RDBMS, REST HTTP APIs, flat files, streams, time series, SAP) using data software engineering technologies

• Transform data using Spark, Databricks, and cloud services

• Implement agentic development environments for AI adoption

• Execute project-specific business logic via programming languages supported by the primary data platform

• Optimize data retrieval, develop dashboards, and perform data validation

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals

• Provide thought leadership on data software engineering best practices and technology trends

• Maintain data source/platform integrity and security

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade data systems and applications

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development with data software engineering technologies

• Advanced Python

• Proficient with Spark and Databricks

• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience and confidence using AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)

• Strong understanding of JSON, Parquet, Avro

• Hands-on SQL and NoSQL databases including Cassandra and MongoDB

• Proficiency with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices

• English oral and written communication skills (B2+)
