Description

Join a Senior AI Data Software Engineer role focused on building and improving data ingestion, transformation, validation, and secure data access for clients across multiple industries. You’ll use big data and cloud technologies to implement effective data pipelines and support emerging AI adoption, including agentic development environments. The position also includes collaboration with data scientists and IT teams plus technical leadership in data engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ingest data from diverse sources (RDBMS, REST HTTP APIs, flat files, streams, time series, SAP) and implement ingestion pipelines
• Process and transform data using Spark, Databricks, and cloud services
• Participate in next-wave AI adoption by implementing agentic development environments
• Execute project-specific business logic using the programming languages supported by the primary data platform
• Optimize data retrieval, build dashboards, and perform data validation
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals
• Provide thought leadership on data software engineering best practices and technology trends
• Ensure integrity and security of data sources and platforms
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade data systems and applications

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience with data software engineering technologies
• Advanced Python
• Spark and Databricks proficiency
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Confidence using AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
• Strong understanding of JSON, Parquet, Avro and other data file formats
• Hands-on SQL and NoSQL databases including Cassandra and MongoDB
• Proficiency with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• English communication skills (B2+)
