Description

Build and optimize data pipelines that ingest from diverse sources, transform data with Spark/Databricks and cloud services, and validate results for multiple client domains. Implement business logic, create dashboards and support efficient data retrieval while ensuring data integrity, security, and reliability. Contribute to next waves of AI adoption by enabling agentic development environments.

Responsibilities

• Ingest data from diverse sources using RDBMS, REST HTTP APIs, flat files, streams, and time series data

• Use Data Software Engineering technologies to implement ingestion, processing, and transformation pipelines

• Transform data using Spark, Databricks, and various cloud services

• Implement project-specific business logic using programming languages supported by the primary data platform

• Optimize data retrieval, develop dashboards, and perform data validation

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals

• Provide thought leadership on data software engineering best practices and technology trends

• Ensure integrity and security of data sources and platforms

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade data systems and applications

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development in data software engineering

• Advanced Python

• Proficient with Spark and Databricks

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform

• Confident using AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)

• Strong understanding of JSON, Parquet, and Avro

• Hands-on SQL and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB)

• Proficiency in data warehousing and ETL processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices

• Exceptional oral and written English communication (B2+)
