Description

You will support and improve an Azure data integration solution primarily built around Azure Data Factory (ADF), focusing on orchestration, monitoring, and continuous optimization. The role also expands and stabilizes the data platform, including the warehouse layer (Azure SQL Database or Synapse), optional dbt-based transformations, and occasional Power BI reporting support. You will work closely with the Product Owner and Architect and contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD release processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines (orchestration, parameterization, trigger management)

  • Configure and manage ADF linked services and datasets

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ADF pipelines for performance and reliability

  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes and evolve the warehouse layer (Azure SQL Database or Synapse)

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with the Product Owner and Architect

  • Develop and maintain Python-based components (Azure Functions, API integrations, automation scripts)

  • Contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and releases to support reliable deployments across environments

  • Support occasional Power BI reporting and dashboarding needs

  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders and maintain visibility of risks and impacts

  • Take ownership of tasks and contribute to continuous platform improvement

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks (must-have)

  • Strong Python skills (Azure Functions, REST APIs, automation)

  • Strong SQL skills and solid data modeling knowledge for ETL/ELT and warehouse workloads

  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD (pipelines, releases, multi-environment deployments)

  • Solid knowledge of Azure services and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Key Vault)

  • Power BI experience for reporting/dashboarding needs

  • Experience with modern development practices and tools

  • Consulting mindset with proactive communication and strong stakeholder alignment

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the Product Owner and Architect during planning and delivery

  • Independent and responsible approach to delivering high-quality solutions

  • English proficiency at least C1
