  • Travel/Location: Geographic coverage in NC and tentative locations; overnight travel required

Description

Support multiple facilities and/or customers within a strategic geographic area by coordinating and performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocol tasks. Serve as a backup to other territories when needed, interface directly with customers to procure lab supplies, and provide training and operational/SAP support. Manage budgets, quality metrics and KPIs, and meet revenue, safety, performance, and quality goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple facilities/customers and cover for vacations, leave, and emergencies

  • Coordinate and lead team efforts and perform work related to customer requirements

  • Create and support SOPs, scopes of work, standard work, and on-the-job training

  • Interface with customer point-of-contact, purchasing directors, facility directors, and plant managers to procure supplies/materials

  • Use Avantor and customer computer systems including SAP and inventory/chemical management tools

  • Provide SAP support (credit rebills, invoice scrubbing, and full customer services)

  • Modify and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators

  • Manage expense reports and related budget activities

  • Work toward revenue, TOE, safety, performance, and quality goals

  • Create programs to improve service efficiencies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or undergraduate degree in business or science-related field is a plus

  • Overnight travel required; own vehicle use; ability to fly if traveling further out

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Knowledge of Information Access and System ESS

  • Strong communication skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Sites require being fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19

  • Experience with inventory control/procurement/shipping/receiving/inside sales (3+ years preferred)

  • Previous GMP facility experience strongly desired
