Description

You will develop operator-facing desktop applications in C++ and Qt for systems used in the Czech Republic and abroad. The work goes beyond implementing screens—you will design how complex information is displayed, how the app reacts to system events, and how the UI integrates with application and domain logic.

Responsibilities include real-time data processing/display, cross-team collaboration, automated test creation, code review, and troubleshooting in a distributed system.

Responsibilities

  • Develop desktop applications in C++ and Qt for operator workstations

  • Design and implement screens, controls, and visualizations for complex data

  • Connect UI to application and domain logic

  • Process and display data arriving in real time

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, systems engineers, analysts, testers, and other developers

  • Translate UI scenarios and design into functional solutions

  • Propose technical solutions with usability, performance, stability, and long-term maintainability in mind

  • Help create automated tests and verify app behavior

  • Perform code reviews and continuously improve architecture, development practices, and code quality

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in applications deployed as part of a large distributed system

Requirements

  • Practical experience with modern C++

  • Experience building a desktop application or a substantial user interface

  • Experience with the Qt framework (or desire to further grow in Qt)

  • Understanding of object-oriented design and separation of presentation vs. application logic

  • Ability to work with asynchronous events, data models, and application state changes

  • Ability to think beyond correctness to usability for end users

  • Ability to discuss design approaches, accept feedback, and collaborate across professions

  • Ability to work with an existing large codebase and gradually improve it

  • English proficiency for reading and writing technical documentation
