Description

Join a dual Computer Science (B.Sc.) program combining academic theory and hands-on practice. You will learn programming fundamentals and deepen your focus in areas such as computer graphics, computer vision, software techniques, embedded systems, or business informatics. You’ll support IT specialists, contribute to agile medical software development, perform data analytics, work on IT project tasks, and gain exposure to cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Complete the dual B.Sc. program with theory at the university and practical assignments in Erlangen and/or Forchheim
• Learn fundamentals in programming, computer architecture, databases, operating systems, algorithms, and data structures
• Deepen knowledge in tracks such as computer graphics/computer vision, software techniques, embedded systems, or business informatics
• Develop medical software using agile software engineering practices
• Support IT specialists in operating and maintaining internal systems
• Analyze, interpret, and prepare large data sets (data analytics)
• Assist with IT project management on challenging IT projects
• Learn security standards and systems in cybersecurity
• Help with the design and administration of central databases and with data acquisition
• Clarify requirements with customers and help design tailored IT solutions as part of solution architecture work

Requirements

• Fachhochschulreife (university of applied sciences entrance qualification)
