Description

In this apprenticeship for application development, you will enter the IT infrastructure behind otto.de and learn programming, plus the introduction and practical use of software and programs. You’ll be deployed to selected tech teams where you can discover which focus areas excite you and deepen them throughout your training. You work hands-on as a fixed part of the team on current topics, bringing in your ideas and growing personally and professionally with support from mentors and the training team.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work in development teams for otto.de and other IT systems

• Proactively contribute ideas to help drive team success

• Explore programming across frontend, backend, and full-stack approaches

• Learn broader technical areas including DevOps, cloud technologies, IT infrastructure, and IT security

Requirements

• Very good intermediate school leaving certificate with good grades—especially in MINT subjects (Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Technology)

• First experience with programming

• German language level suitable for B2 and good English skills

• Enjoys analytical thinking and technical relationships

• Team player who enjoys independent and varied work

• Good communication skills and high self-motivation
