Description

Collaborate with backend engineering and product management to ensure the reliability, performance, and functionality of applications through continuous manual QA. After onboarding, you will take ownership of backend QA processes and execute sprint-based testing activities. Primary focus is backend functionality with direct API testing to validate integrations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute weekly sprint activities with backend developers and the product manager.
• Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning; contribute insights to improve product quality.
• Perform comprehensive manual QA across frontend and backend, with emphasis on backend functionality.
• Conduct direct API testing to validate integration and performance.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues to determine whether problems are client-side or server-side.
• Manage and execute testing tasks efficiently within each sprint cycle.
• Suggest improvements, raise tickets, and contribute ideas to elevate overall product quality.

Requirements

• Must currently live in the European Union.
• 2+ years of manual QA testing, particularly for backend and API testing.
• 1+ year proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with payment system testing (1+ year).
• Familiarity with mobile application testing (1+ year).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly communicate defects.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
• Availability between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM CET on weekdays.
• English required; German preferred.
