Description

Build and improve a React Native mobile app with features for rider and horse tracking, training progress, and AI. Maintain and enhance the Next.js web front end as needed, contributing to a maintainable codebase through refactoring and sound architecture. Use AI coding assistants throughout development while collaborating with product and design stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve the React Native app
• Develop mobile-first features for tracking, training progress, and AI
• Translate product and design ideas into clean, well-thought-out mobile UX
• Maintain and improve the Next.js web front end where necessary
• Work comfortably in an existing codebase and extend it
• Use AI coding tools throughout the development process
• Make pragmatic architectural, maintainability, performance, and delivery-speed decisions
• Review code and help improve mobile and frontend practices

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical React Native experience in a professional team
• Solid experience with React and Next.js
• Good sense for architecture, refactoring, technical debt, and maintainability
• Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
• Comfortable with modern deployment workflows and cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and code-reading skills
• Clear communication and a pragmatic, straightforward working style
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
• Willingness to come into the office for team events
• Openness to feedback, learning, and continuous improvement
• Fluency in German and English
