Description

You will lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs. You will collaborate with digital product managers and Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support robust cloud-based solutions. You will experiment with new technologies, mentor other engineers, and participate in internal and external technology communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
  • Stay current with technology trends and experiment/learn new technologies
  • Mentor engineering community members
  • Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of Americans
  • Use programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go
  • Use container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Use configuration/CM tools including Ansible and Terraform
  • Use AWS tools and services
  • Design connectivity solutions supporting multiple cloud environments including AWS and GCP
  • Collaborate with Agile teams using full-stack development tools and technologies to design, develop, test, implement, and support solutions
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 3 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • At least 4 years of experience in Unix or Linux system administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of network engineering experience designing and implementing large multi-site networks
  • 5+ years of experience in NetDevOps Engineering using CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Itential, Ansible, Git, and Jenkins
  • 5+ years of experience with Software Defined Networking and Cisco technologies
  • 4+ years of infrastructure design and implementation
  • 4+ years of experience in Cloud Networking (VPC networking and subnets, firewalls, private service access, linking on-premise and cloud networks)
  • 3+ years of experience with DNS services
  • 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools (Observability, Splunk, New Relic, Datadog)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Agile Development practices
  • Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity
