• Work arrangement: Hybrid (report to the Warren Technical Center in Warren, MI or the Austin IT Innovation Center in Austin, TX at minimum three times per week, or other frequency as dictated by the business)

Description

The Software Integration Quality Engineer in Vehicle Update Services ensures end-to-end over-the-air (OTA) software delivery reliably downloads and updates vehicle software across millions of vehicles per year. You will use the sub-system test bench environment to verify critical and complex features are properly developed and integrated throughout major vehicle development milestones, supporting on-time and high-quality SW launches.

What You’ll Do

• Develop & execute test plans and procedures on sub-system benches
• Author automation test scripts
• Build, maintain, and manage test environments (benches) needed for manual and automated runs
• Triage system-level nonconformities by acquiring and analyzing data logs and routing to the offending module or back-office system
• Document all anomalies using company standard issue tracking tools
• Follow issue resolution from issue origination through verification, closure, and monitoring

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of professional experience within software quality
• Understanding of automotive serial data protocols (CAN, Ethernet, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple project assignments and switch between tasks as timing and resources dictate
• Software QA, triage, and log analysis
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate test vehicles
