Description

A GCP DevOps Engineer is sought to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining data platform solutions operating in a hybrid environment. The role covers CI/CD tooling, infrastructure process automation, cloud deployments on Google Cloud Platform, and support for SRE initiatives and service reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD tools and processes
• Create and evolve pipelines automating application and service deployment
• Design and develop shared platform components used by engineering teams
• Co-create deployment standards and patterns for Google Cloud Platform services
• Automate processes related to maintenance, security, compliance, and system reliability
• Support the development of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
• Develop infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Analyze and resolve issues related to performance, stability, and availability of production environments

Requirements

• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD
• Very good knowledge of Jenkins
• Very good knowledge of GitHub
• Very good knowledge of Nexus
• Very good knowledge of Ansible
• Experience with cloud solutions (GCP, Azure, or AWS) and knowledge of architecture, security, cost optimization, and compliance
• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
• Ability to automate processes and an “automation first” mindset
• Hands-on programming experience in Bash
• Hands-on programming experience in Python
• Good knowledge of Linux system administration
• Knowledge of computer networking
• Knowledge of SRE topics, IT services management, and application lifecycle
• Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and solve problems
