Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer for the XiNG large scale distributed calculation platform (XiP). In this role you will design, build, and maintain deployment systems and cloud infrastructure for large-scale distributed systems, collaborating with software engineers, DevOps, and vendors to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Simplify CI/CD pipeline based on enterprise-level solutions
  • Design and implement a new pipeline around Citi’s centralized DevOps pipeline for consistency and simplicity
  • Continuously improve pipeline efficiency, reliability, and security
  • Integrate automated quality gates and rollback mechanisms
• Build cloud infrastructure in AWS
  • Build, evolve, and maintain extremely large-scale parallel compute environment in AWS
  • Implement best practices for storage, compute, and security
  • Continuously monitor and optimize resource usage
  • Ensure infrastructure meets needs of distributed risk calculation workloads
• Build cloud infrastructure in GCP
  • Actively contribute to building a complete replica of XiP in GCP (Greenfield)
  • Manage scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud infrastructure in GCP
  • Support resilience, scalability, and business continuity requirements
• Collaborate with internal and external vendors
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies and tools
  • Ensure adoption aligns with business goals, compliance standards, and operational requirements
  • Participate in architecture reviews and proof-of-concept initiatives
• Operationally support XiP infrastructure
  • Maintain and monitor health, performance, and security
  • Perform maintenance, upgrades, and patching
  • Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
  • Document operational procedures and provide training/guidance
• Operationally support XiP customers
  • Provide hands-on support for application and infrastructure issues
  • Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and resolve performance bottlenecks/outages
  • Deliver timely troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution with clear stakeholder communication

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps working closely with an Apps Development team
• Extensive experience building cloud infrastructure in a common public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Background of delivering successful large scale infrastructure projects
• Ability to manage and deliver projects while handling competing priorities
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
