Description

The role provides real impact on the quality and stability of the target solution, working in a demanding technical environment and supporting a business-critical initiative. You will administer and optimize highly available PostgreSQL environments, ensure performance/consistency/security of data, and support migration and go-live processes including rollback and post-production stabilization. Close collaboration with software vendors and internal development teams is required.

Responsibilities

• Administration, configuration, and optimization of PostgreSQL environments for high-availability systems
• Ensure high performance, data consistency, and security (performance tuning and query optimization)
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve database performance and stability issues
• Prepare detailed rollout plans, data migration strategies, and rollback/stabilization procedures after production rollout
• Support migration and integration processes in a heterogeneous technological environment
• Participate in go-live preparation and execution and support the environment after production launch
• Work closely with software vendors and internal development teams

Requirements

• Experience in administration, configuration, and optimization of PostgreSQL in production environments
• Practical experience with high-availability systems with reliability and performance requirements
• Advanced ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
• Experience in performance tuning, analysis of performance problems, and optimization of the database engine
• Practical knowledge of data migration methodologies and go-live management
• Experience preparing deployment plans, rollback procedures, and stabilization actions after production deployment
• Very good English knowledge (min. B2/C1)
• Ability to support migration and integration processes in a heterogeneous technological environment
