Description

Shape the future of E-Commerce by developing innovative frontend solutions for online shops. You will work with a team that delivers customer-oriented solutions in close collaboration with product management and UX.

Your Mission

You develop high-quality and scalable frontend architectures, implement technical innovations, and continuously improve the User Experience (UX). Your focus is on the Web Frontend with React and TypeScript, while you can leverage Flutter to bridge Web and Mobile App and support consistent user journeys.

Responsibilities

Technical Responsibility & Development

• Analyze, design, and implement new features for online shops—from first idea to going live.
• Develop performant, reusable components in React and TypeScript; deliver pixel-perfect UI/UX.
• Apply mobile development understanding (Flutter) to support knowledge exchange and consistent journeys across Web and App.
• Conduct code reviews; promote Clean Code and Test-Driven Development.
• Identify technical debt and define targeted reduction measures.

Quality Assurance & Best Practices

• Ensure development standards, test processes (Unit, Integration, E2E tests), and technical documentation.
• Optimize web performance (Core Web Vitals) and accessibility (a11y).
• Maintain and improve frontend build pipelines and test environments.

Collaboration & Planning

• Work with product management to refine requirements, estimate effort, and implement solutions effectively.
• Contribute to technology direction and tool/framework selection in the React ecosystem.

Operations & Infrastructure

• Support monitoring and operation of the applications you build (Monitoring, Error Tracking).
• Improve CI/CD processes for frontend continuously.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical frontend development experience, ideally in e-commerce
• Excellent knowledge of TypeScript and React
• Modern HTML and CSS proficiency (SASS/LESS, CSS-in-JS, or Tailwind)
• Experience with Unit, Integration, and E2E tests
• Strong quality awareness for Clean Code, tests (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Playwright), and technical documentation
• Knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Docker
• Strong communication skills and constructive, cooperative working style
• Willingness to continuously learn and bring new ideas to the team

We’re probably not a great match if you...

• Prefer SAFe or rigid formal specifications (Lastenheft)
• Have only worked in highly regulated industries without product-led, fast-paced and distributed systems experience
• Prefer strict silos between infrastructure, backend, frontend, testing, and product thinking
• Expect “ready to go” requirements without refining with Product Management and understanding the customer
• Rely mainly on the employer for professional development instead of self-driven learning
• Are more frustrated than motivated by imperfect systems
• Strictly separate work from having a good time
